Home Run Inn to Open Bronzeville Restaurant With Pour-Your-Own Beer – Eater Chicago

Home Run Inn to open Bronzeville restaurant next week with pour-your-own beer

Home Run Inn is one of Chicago’s longest-running pizza chains, but the tavern-cut specialist is evolving with the times. The South Side stalwart plans to open its ninth location on September 30 at 3401 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Bronzeville, and it will include one of the trendiest innovations in the restaurant and bar world — a pour-your-own beer wall, a news release announces. Patrons will be able to choose from 10 beer handles, five wine handles, and six cocktail handles inside the 50-seat restaurant, plus order the 72-year-old chain’s selection of thin-crust pizzas, sandwiches, wings, and more. Ownership plans to donate a percentage of opening day sales to the Chicago Youth Centers Elliott Donnelly Youth Center.
